Feathersmith was an original idea by Richard Fieldhouse (owner of Barbless Flies). The original concept of supplying high-quality 'pattern specific' fly tying kits has been expanded to serve all of the fly tying community with the highest quality products available today.
From the best vices available (Renzetti) to the best materials and feathers (Semperfli & Marc Petitjean).

Richard Fieldhouse
I'm Richard and I only picked up a fishing rod again in 2007, after a 20-year break. I really enjoy my fishing, almost exclusively rivers. I now would not be without my 10' 2# rod. I tend to fish light tackle for small wild trout here in North Yorkshire. I formed Barbless Flies in 2014 and have now branched out to include all our fly tying kits, hardware and materials through this website, alongside our pre-tied flies over at Barbless Flies.
I don't profess to be an expert at fly tying, but I do know that if we can add to your knowledge and supply a quality product at an affordable price then hopefully business should be brisk.
